FRANK HARRIS
Frank Harris has been a filmmaker for over 35 years. He has experience in all aspects of professional filmmaking. He is a writer, producer, director, cinematographer, editor, and action coordinator. When making action and dramatic movies Frank uses his experience within shooting television news, documentaries and training films. He has shot over 100 police and prison guard-training films that have trained officers around the world. In these films, the accuracy of action and special effects has to be authentic, as for the audiences being trained by these films, these are life and death situations and so demand realism. In order to cut budgets, he also became interested in special effects and miniature production including, storms, floods, explosions, crashes, chases, and stunts. Frank is also one of the top specialized cameramen for Helicopter and underwater shooting in the industry today.
Between features, Frank has worked for NBC Network News and shot all over the world, covering many breaking stories from war zones to natural disasters. This keeps him sharp. News production is unforgiving and requires a disciplined style. In the field, he has to make instant decisions as a director, producer and cameraman all in one. This is how Frank knows how to keep a show on budget and get all the angles necessary to make the production look big: Experience.
Frank’s feature films are produced on low budgets in order to maximize profits for the investors and the distributors. However because of his expertise, he keeps the available money exclusively for the screen and really manages to get, in his own words: “a lot of bang for the buck.”
